Peter Aiken is acknowledged to be a top data management (DM) authority. As a practicing data consultant, author and researcher, he has been actively performing and studying DM for more than 30 years. His expertise has been sought by some of the world’s most important organizations and his achievements have been recognized internationally.  He has held leadership positions and consulted with more than 75 organizations in 21 countries across numerous industries, including defense, banking, healthcare, telecommunications and manufacturing. He is a sought-after keynote speaker and author of multiple publications, including his latest the “Case for the CDO” & “Monetizing Data Management.” Peter is the Founding Director of Data Blueprint, a consulting firm that helps organizations leverage data for competitive advantage and operational efficiencies.  He is also Associate Professor of Information Systems at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and past President of the International Data Management Association (DAMA-I).


Mitch Hamilton

Director of Consulting

Mitch Hamilton manages the consulting practice and client engagements for Data Blueprint. In a career that spans over twenty years, he has experience across multiple industries including financial services, chemical engineering, aerospace engineering, health care, insurance, and management consulting. The common thread to success across all of these environments has been the management and use of data. Since his early years as an engineer with the Department of Defense, Mitch has had a passion for applying the appropriate combination of technology, people and process to enable organizations to get the most value from their data. Data Blueprint allows him to exercise his passion every day in enabling our clients to do more with their data.


James Stacia

Director of Marketing and Business Development

James directs business development and marketing for Data Blueprint. Whether a client’s focus is on bottom line, quality, enabling innovation or delighting more customers, James helps position data initiatives for the highest organizational impact. With 21 years of experience in marketing, insurance, risk management, retail and service, some of James’ prior roles include Program Manager for Virginia Modeling Analysis and Simulation Center, Director of Service, Director of Warranty Operations and Direct Marketing Manager.  He has managed analytics, risk, vendor relations, information technology, customer service support, and up to five books of business.  James was appointed by the Commonwealth’s Commissioner of Insurance in 2000 to the State’s FAIR Plan Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Finance, Claim and Nominating committees. James is also an officer in the Marine Corps Reserves and has served around the globe in numerous leadership roles throughout 27 years of service. His passion: helping clients unlock the value in their data.
